PENAMBAHAN ES/IES pada simple present

Untuk kata kerja pada bentuk positif kita harus menambahkan s/es jika subjek nya He, She, It pada akhiran kata kerjanya, contoh:

“Play” jadi “plays”, “buy” jadi “buys”, “run” jadi “runs”, dll.

Untuk kata kerjanya yang berakhiran huruf O, X, S, CH, SH, maka di tambahkan akhiran ES, contoh:

“go” jadi “goes” (pergi)

“mix” jadi “mixes” (mencampur)

“kiss” jadi “kisses” (mencium)

“punch” jadi “punches” (menonjok)

“finish” jadi “finishes”(menyelesaikan)

Untuk kata kerja yang berakhiran huruf Y dan sebelum huruf Y adalah huruf konsonan, maka huruf Y tadi di ganti dengan IES. Contoh:
